A few weeks ago Aidens hockey team had the opportunity to go play in between Periods 2&3 at the Guelph Jr.A Storm Game.
It was so cute to see all these little guys and girls out there skating around. They divided the team into 2 teams and played a little scrimmage. I don't really think they knew who was on what team, if one of the teams scored they were all high fiving each other:)....but the main thing, they all had fun out there. Aiden thinks every week now when we tell him he has practice, that we're heading to a Storm game....lol....right now all they do is practice, but in the New Year they will start playing games against other teams. It should be interesting.
Here are a few pics from that night.

Although he doesn't have much hair yet, what white hair he does have is long thin wild strands.
The back is longer and it always mats into a rats nest:) and he has this one piece at the back that is so long and doesn't fit in anywhere, the top is longer too and most days he looks like a 90 year old man with a Tupae....today I decided it was time to try and cut it, make him look like a little boy. He was actually quite good about it....I mean he cried the whole time, but he wasn't trying to jump off the chair or anything....it was good Brent was here to help and hold his head while I cut around the ears and neck.
Quick post tonight, Greys Anatomy is on and I just got home from getting my haircut.
There weren't many pictures taken...it's a little hard to be the Hairdresser and the Photographer at the same time:)

All done....he's trying to smile through that hard done by cry
The back....no more long ponytail pieces

Wow, I can't believe it's been awhile since I posted last. Between getting ready for Halloween, helping MacKenzie with her Bat Habitat project, trying to find a snowsuit for MacKenzie and having a sick boy at home....life sure does get busy sometimes.
Last Thursday when Aiden woke up in the morning he complained of his head being sore and he was crying. I thought he may have just slept on it wrong. I had to volunteer in his classroom that day and it was also his Halloween Party. He didn't want to go to school, even though he was going to miss his party-he didn't care he wasn't feeling well and didn't want to go no matter what. I knew then that he was sick. All day Thursday he layed on the couch, and couldn't even keep water down. By Thursday night he had got his second wind and was his normal self.....Friday morning he was still good, so we headed out shopping-Brent and I were going to a Halloween Party that night so we needed to find some costumes. Aiden was good all day. We got home and told him he had to have a nap in order to go out trick or treating that night. He woke up from his nap about 3pm and had a high fever and was sick again. We tried to pop some fever pills into him....but those just came back up with the water. He said he wasn't going out trick or treating. He layed on the couch while we got the other 2 ready, and as soon as they were about to head out the door he said he wanted to go too. I just threw his costume from last year on as I knew he wouldn't be out long the way he looked and we will just save this years costume for next year.
He made it down our street and to Brent's parents and Gramma ended up bringing him home.
Needless to say it's Monday and he is still sick. I noticed today he had fever blisters in his mouth....we tried to get him into the doctor today....but our Doctor is away until December 2,.....Great....so as I am typing this Brent has taken him to Emerge as I am working and can't leave the house.
Halloween was good for the other 2 this year....of course they always get WAYYY too much candy.
MacKenzie dressed up as Hannah Montanna and Evan was a Bat...Aiden was a Skunk again.
Brent and I went out to our Party as planned and my mom came and watched the kids. (Thanks Mom)...We had a great night....thank god those nights don't happen to often.....HAHA....stay tuned tomorrow for pics of our night.....Clean pictures only....I promise:)
Here are a few pics of the kids.
**update** Brent and Aiden got home around 9pm, and of course..he has the flu and there is nothing they can do.....It's lasting about a week they said and to keep him home from school. God I hate wasting time going to emerge...but if we didn't that would be when something was seriously wrong. Better safe than sorry I guess!

IPM 2008

It's been along time since I have been to the International Plowing Match-The last time was when it was held in Elora, and if I remember correctly MacKenzie was only about 1 at the time, so that would be 8 years ago. I really wanted to go this year, since it's pretty close to home again, and I knew Aiden would really enjoy it. On Friday morning Papa, Gramma, Mom, Aiden, Evan and I headed out on a road trip to Teeswater. MacKenzie was going to come, but when we got up in the morning she decided she wanted to go to school....there is something seriously wrong with this picture....definatly not my kid:)!..lol. The ride there was....interesting.....Aiden wouldn't stop talking...Evan wouldn't stop whinning....and I thought OMG, this is going to be a horrible day, but it was a great day. Both kids were Excellent. Of course there is so much to see there. Evan sat in his stroller and took everything in, and Aiden the same....of course every tractor and four wheeler display we had to stop at and Aiden had to get on every tractor, digger, and four wheeler they had. Until almost the end....he ran to get into one tractor and he slipped on the bucket...which was full of water and mud.....he rode around in the stroller for the rest of the way in his underwear while his pants dried....lol. We had a good day, a few good laughs and lots of freebies. The ride home was MUCH more peaceful.....not too long and the kids were sound asleep:). Here a few pics of our day at the IPM.

Weekend Recap

Wow....that weekend came and went fast.....Don't they all? This weekend was our Town Fall Fair, Friday night was the parade and we all participated in it with the Fire Deparment. MacKenzie and Aiden rode in the Pumper and Evan & I rode in the truck, pulling the Smoke House with Brent. We went over to the Rides after and the kids got on 2 rides each.....$20.00 doesn't go far....Saturday night we headed up to the mini tractor pull, that was fun till the fall air set in, then we headed home.
Sunday we attended an 80th Birthday party for my Great Aunt over in Listowel. We had a good time and a nice visit with family. Brent and Evan didn't come as Brent was running the smoke house at the Fair and I left Evan with Brent's parents.....just easier than chasing him around a restraunt. Hope you all had a great weekend.
The above picture is all of us at the Birthday Party-minus a few people who had already left. The Birthday girl is sitting 3rd on the left.

It's a GREAT Day!

Yeahhhh.....today was the kids first day of school. Although I am happy about that, I do have to admit....I sure do miss them when their gone.
We did find out last week who MacKenzie would have this year for a teacher, and Aiden we knew about 3 weeks ago when he recieved a letter from her.
Kenzie was very thrilled to know that she has the same teacher as last year...Miss.H, she was really hoping for her again. Aiden's teacher last year is taking this year off, and the teacher he will have this year took last year off. He will really miss Mrs.C(as we all will) but we couldn't be happier with him having Mrs.F this year. She was MacKenzies' Kindergarten teacher, so we are familiar with her.
Another GREAT DAY at the McDougalls' today....A backhoe arrived...for those of you that know me....know HOW EXCITED I would be on this day. Our driveway will finally be cemented...no more stones, no more mud tracking everywhere, no more quicksand in the spring...and most of all..Papa will love blowing the snow for us this year:) and
neither of us have to worry about a stone going through the front window.
Well that's the update for today.....here are some pics of the kids on the First Day of School:)

Missing Person Found:)

Hello everyone....sorry I have been MIA for a bit, it's been a pretty hectic month of August. I wasn't sure somedays if I was coming or going.
Brent and I have been to Michigan to the NASCAR race and had another great time with good friends:). We came home from there, we unpacked, I did laundry and repacked again. This time we headed to Buffalo and Niagara Falls for 4 days with the kids. We went to Fantasy Island in Buffalo and we had a great time there until I rode the Tilt a Whirl with 2 kids "Screaming....GO FASTER" and me feeling GREENER by the second and hoping to hell the ride was almost over.....lol...
We headed back to stay at the Falls for a few days, did lots of walking on Clifton Hill, spent way more money than it should cost to have a good holiday and did all the Back to School shopping for Kenzie and Aiden. We came home, attended Aiden's Lacrosse Banquet, did laundry and packed up again to head to the Glassford Reunion in Wiarton. Aiden managed to sneak away with the Parkinsons for a few days to Sauble, and then MacKenzie,Evan and I headed up to spend one day with them and the Hutchsions.
The Kids are back to school on TUESDAY.....YEAHHHHHHHHH!....you know that commercial with the parents rushing around the Staples store(I think) and the music playing....It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!!!!!.....Well, when you have kids that fight and carry on...it's TRUE.....besides that I can't wait to relax after this whirlwind month we have had.
Hope everyone is doing well and here are a few of my favorite pics from NASCAR.
Every time we go down there we play a game of Newfie Golf against these Americans we met last year. Canadians VS Americans, In June when Brent and the kids went the Americans made a Stanley Cup for the winner, Larry and Brent are our Team Players and have not brought the Win back.....So we had to all bring with us our Canadian clothing not to be out done with the Cup.....unfortunatly I think we were as the Americans got this Cup all cased up and you couldn't touch it without white Gloves....lol...Well needless to say....Larry ended up sick on Game Day so Adam had to sub in......AND....We CANADIANS brought the CUP to Canada....lol....of course we had to tour the Campground Arthur Winner style.....lol....that is...until the Smoke caught up with us....apparently a BIG, NO NO around there.
Have a Great Night:)

Civic Weekend

This long weekend was a busy filled one for us. Friday night we headed to the Keg for supper with Ron and Linda to celebrate their Anniversary. We decided to get them a GPS for a gift, as we knew that Ron had talked about one before and Linda will no longer have to stop and ask for directions and have the people think that they are DRUNK....lol...if you know Brent's aunts and how the laugh and kackle you know their not drunk!LOL
Saturday morning we headed off to the Lake for our last long weekend of the summer. We had another nice weather weekend. We did do a little tubing on Sunday, MacKenzie and Mark were the only ones who tubed, as all of a sudden Aiden doesn't want to tube anymore.....after further talking about it and thinking back to a conversation about fish in the lake.....we figured out why.....he has in his head now that the fish are going to bite him and snapping turtles too.....lol...what a kid!! Saturday night we went to Southampton and took some pictures of the sun setting down by the lighthouse. It was pretty windy down there, so we didn't stay long.....mom was getting a bit freaked out with us climbing the rocks....if you know my mom.....you know it probably wasn't a big deal....LOL!!
Sunday evening we headed to Wiarton to the fair and to watch the fireworks. The kids played some games and went on a few rides.....Aiden won a pair of glasses....(see pictures)...lol....of course they became the highlight of the night....lol. The fireworks were good as well.
We came home early today as I knew I would have mounds of laundry to get done as I am working in the office all week.
Hope you all had a good Civic Weekend!
Here are some pics of our weekend.
