I know....winter has just begun, Christmas isn't even
here yet and I'm posting a Valentine's Day card.
Today the color challenge at SCS was red, black and
kraft....for some reason it rang Valentine's to me.
So I pulled out this new stamp set that I haven't used
yet and here is the creation of that. It also uses a
sketch from i{heart}2stamp.

Have a Good Night!

I'm caught up for now on my posting:)...but still far from caught up on my Scrapbook pages:(
Tonight I finally got Evan's Halloween page started and FINISHED...in one night...WOW!!
Hopefully tomorrow I will have the other 2 kids pages started and maybe finished:)

Even though I wanted to give him away last week, he still is Too cute To Spook!:)

Happy Monday!

Holy Snow batman....I don't know about you, but we have quite a bit of snow here....I love it:). This morning the boys and I went outside, shovelled the laneway, they played in the snow and then we went for a little walk. It was pretty mild out there this morning and was a nice walk....all the trees still had lots of snow on them...."Walking in a Winter Wonderland"....wish I had of taken my camera, the scenery was like post card pictures:)
Shovelling the driveway this year is so much easier now that our Driveway is done...no more stones and mud to shovel.....of course Aiden had to tell me that I was shovelling wrong....."Dad likes you to go crossways on the driveway not up and down"....OK THEN!....man I didn't know there was a right way to shovel nor did I think 5 year olds paid attention to that...lol!

Yesterday we made the treck to Tara....of course everytime we go there it's a nasty drive and we never give ourselves enough time...so then Brent's racing like a madman to get there, the roads were slushy as heck, we hit a few areas that were getting little snow squals....but we made it....5 minutes to get MacKenzie ready for the game....talk about a rush.

They won their game 9-3. MacKenzie was off to rough start again...ring just did not want to go in the net for her again....but she did end up finding the hole and got 2 goals. We went to my Dad's after the game for supper, and had an off and on crappy drive home because of the weather.

Today is Mojo Monday....here is my Mojo61.

Aiden got his hockey pictures back yesterday. I think they turned out pretty good.

This is his first year playing hockey, last year he did 3 months of canskate and never got back on skates again till this October. He is now skating around without the red push thingy(no idea what they are called). I can't believe how well he is doing. I hope with him having Perthes that he beats it and can continue on with his sports. He really loves playing sports, this kid has so much determination to do things it's amazing. Some days I have no idea where he gets it from.

Post#14- Way To Go Wellington Novice Ringers!!

This weekend has been a busy one for us...yet again! Friday night we headed to Guelph to try and find MacKenzie a snowsuit since we have been on the hunt for that for a few weeks now. We did finally find one....and thank god we did! I also managed to get all the 3 kids the remainder of their clothes for Christmas pictures coming up in a few weeks. We got home, dropped Aiden and Evan off at Gramma and Grampa Dougallys' for a sleepover as MacKenzie had a Ringette Tournament the next day. Aiden had hockey as well Saturday morning and then he was headed to a birthday party.

Yesterday I felt like a Rink Rat.....lol....12 hours in an Arena. Needless to say I was exhausted last night....so to bed early I went....only to be up way to early this morning:(
The Ringette team played Great Games all day....I mean 12 hours of Ringette....these kids had had enough by their last game....the fuel had definatly died for them.

Their first game was at 8:30am-They won that game 15-2 I think. MacKenzie got 2 goals, and was very Happy to be the one who scored the first goal of the game:)

The next game was @ 10:30am-They won this game 17-0. MacKenzie again had 2 goals. This game was both BORING....but also very EXCITING.
We have 2 bunnies(5-7 year olds-some first time players) that play on our team as the bunny team folded this year. We also have a few new players that are first year players and some that have never skated before. EVERYONE on the team got a goal in this game!!! There were some pretty excited kids as well as Emotional Moms'....lol. It was great to see these kids get goals...we all know what it's like!!!
After this game we had a few hours to kill so we thought we should feed these overworked kids.....BAD IDEA.....we went out for lunch, packed their bellies full...a little too full as the next game we lost 5-1....which was still a good game, but we just couldn't score....not for lacking of trying either....they had to of had 1000 shots on net.
The last game of the night was 6:00pm which was for the Championship game....we played the same team we lost to the game before.
They lost this game 7-2-MacKenzie got both the goals this game. The girls were so beat, they had no energy left...and I mean who would have....most of them probably up since 6:30 or earlier, they were exhausted. But they had a fun day and came out with 2 wins and 2 losses. They all got medals and I'm sure they were all fast asleep once they got in their cars to come home.
The ride home.....it rained pretty much all day in Fergus, by the time we left there at 7pm...it was sooooooo snowy outside...unbelievable. Our drive home was rather slow, you couldn't see the lines on the road, and the blinding snow coming down made it even harder to see. You found tracks on the road and you stayed in those tracks or else....the slush and snow would have pulled you in a direction you didn't want to go:(....but we made it::
Today we are supposed to be heading to Tara for another game, and then to my Dad's for supper, but if the weather keeps up and is anything like last night,
we won't be going anywhere.
Here are some pics of the Ringette Day!

Post#13- Sour Cream container or Snocone cup??

I didn't get around to posting anything yesterday....a busy day with one MISERABLE child who I was actually going to give away to the first taker.....then we had hockey and ringette practice to get to.....and of course Grey's Anatomy was on too.

I made these sour cream containers-I got the tutorial off SCS, but honestly I have no idea why they are called that....they look more like a snocone cup to me:)
I put 3 ldifferent candies in them....what a cute little treat eh?

Are you sick of seeing Christmas crafts yet? Well today we'll break from that. I made a card today that has nothing at all to do with Christmas.....I think I've got all my Christmas cards done and probably have more than I need....but that's ok!
Todays card follows SCS color challenge from yesterday and sketch challenge from today.
I went out on a limb with this card....and I actually am happy with the outcome...color and all.
Hope you all had a good day today!

Mondays at SCS is Try a New Technique-Somebody posts something fun to make and if you want you can give it a try. Yesterday's new technique were these cute little Christmas Tree Boxes. Qbee provided us with a template and a tutorial which made them super easy to re-create.
Here are my 2 Christmas Tree Boxes, the lighting in this house is horrible at night, hence the picture looks pretty orange.

Have A Good Night!!:)

Well.....what do you think of the NEW LOOK?....ahhh it's ok...I was just playing around trying to spice the blog up a bit.....what I wanted to do was put a bunch of pictures up of different Christmas crafts, but I really had no idea how and this is what came out of that....it'll do for now. If you know how to change a blog header let me know:)

The weather outside has been snowy all day....That can only mean one thing....A good day to have a PJ day and stay inside:)....That's exactly what I did today too!
MacKenzie is still sick, so she stayed home from school and Evan is still pretty miserable with those teeth coming through. Aiden....well....Aiden is Aiden!

Today is Mojo Monday, so I played along. Here is my Mojo60

Enjoy your night!!

Yeah....I'm all caught up.....9 days and 9 posts....

I started this bag last week when I did the other one I posted....today I finally finised it. I don't know if it was exactly what I was hoping my end result to look like, but it's ok...I like the other one better I think.

Anyway, that's it for today's posts....off to eat my supper:)

Happy Sunday!!

Last Christmas I had seen this Tic Tac Snow made by Dawn and I thought it was so cute, so of course I had to make one....MacKenzie, Aiden and I sat down many nights and played. Soon time to bring it out again:).
Today was a pretty quiet day around here. MacKenzie started with the flu not long after she got up this morning, so she has been up in her room sleeping most of the day. She just finished having a nice Jacuzzi tub bath. Evan is popping his 2 eye teeth, and has been fevered off and on all day and has slept most of the day too. He walks around here like a lost little puppy:(

Brent and Aiden went public skating today with Mom and Mark. My friend had been up to the arena and stopped over here after, She said Aiden was doing awesome....I asked her how my Mom was doing....she laughed, and said she is doing fine too....but....she is needing a little more help than Aiden....HAHA....By the end of the winter Mom....I'm sure you'll be a PRO!
So with the house so quiet today...I got some paper crafting done:) and with the cold wet snowy weather we had today, I was quite happy to be inside:)

This card was one I made earlier in the week- It's a sketch challenge for Mojo59.
So much for my bragging of our lovely weather we had this past week.....because now it's cold and miserable outside. It's been raining and sleeting here today....The heat had to be turned back on and I just can't seem to get warm.

MacKenzie had a ringette game here in town today, I got a chance to sneak away and watch it(I'm working)....They won again.....they haven't lost a game this season yet....MacKenzie got 1 goal and 1 assist....I swear she had a million shots on net....but none other than 1 wanted to go in.

Tomorrow Brent and I are going to tackle our basement....it looks like a Tornado has struck down there......what a job that is going to be:(.

Happy Saturday!!

A few weeks ago Aidens hockey team had the opportunity to go play in between Periods 2&3 at the Guelph Jr.A Storm Game.
It was so cute to see all these little guys and girls out there skating around. They divided the team into 2 teams and played a little scrimmage. I don't really think they knew who was on what team, if one of the teams scored they were all high fiving each other:)....but the main thing, they all had fun out there. Aiden thinks every week now when we tell him he has practice, that we're heading to a Storm game....lol....right now all they do is practice, but in the New Year they will start playing games against other teams. It should be interesting.
Here are a few pics from that night.

Although he doesn't have much hair yet, what white hair he does have is long thin wild strands.
The back is longer and it always mats into a rats nest:) and he has this one piece at the back that is so long and doesn't fit in anywhere, the top is longer too and most days he looks like a 90 year old man with a Tupae....today I decided it was time to try and cut it, make him look like a little boy. He was actually quite good about it....I mean he cried the whole time, but he wasn't trying to jump off the chair or anything....it was good Brent was here to help and hold his head while I cut around the ears and neck.
Quick post tonight, Greys Anatomy is on and I just got home from getting my haircut.
There weren't many pictures taken...it's a little hard to be the Hairdresser and the Photographer at the same time:)
Before Haircut
All done....he's trying to smile through that hard done by cry
The back....no more long ponytail pieces
The lovely blonde locks

Nope we're not getting snow flurries here today.....The weather the last 2 days here has been unbelievable. Pretty close to pulling the capris out again...but I haven't.....I think it's a calm before the storm really! As much as I like this kind of weather, I really want a big snowstorm to hit us:)....I love them....but only when I'm on the inside looking out:)
Todays card is one that I created using last weeks sketch challenge on SCS. I had to pull out my snowflurries stamp set...after all....Tis the Season:)

Ok so I didn't get around to double posting last night, but today I'm ready for that.
Yesterday I had time to work on my Christmas Gift Bags....I love how this one turned out.
These bags are so easy and fast to make.....Go ahead and try one....if you do make sure you link back to here so I can see your creations:)

Wow, I can't believe it's been awhile since I posted last. Between getting ready for Halloween, helping MacKenzie with her Bat Habitat project, trying to find a snowsuit for MacKenzie and having a sick boy at home....life sure does get busy sometimes.
Last Thursday when Aiden woke up in the morning he complained of his head being sore and he was crying. I thought he may have just slept on it wrong. I had to volunteer in his classroom that day and it was also his Halloween Party. He didn't want to go to school, even though he was going to miss his party-he didn't care he wasn't feeling well and didn't want to go no matter what. I knew then that he was sick. All day Thursday he layed on the couch, and couldn't even keep water down. By Thursday night he had got his second wind and was his normal self.....Friday morning he was still good, so we headed out shopping-Brent and I were going to a Halloween Party that night so we needed to find some costumes. Aiden was good all day. We got home and told him he had to have a nap in order to go out trick or treating that night. He woke up from his nap about 3pm and had a high fever and was sick again. We tried to pop some fever pills into him....but those just came back up with the water. He said he wasn't going out trick or treating. He layed on the couch while we got the other 2 ready, and as soon as they were about to head out the door he said he wanted to go too. I just threw his costume from last year on as I knew he wouldn't be out long the way he looked and we will just save this years costume for next year.
He made it down our street and to Brent's parents and Gramma ended up bringing him home.
Needless to say it's Monday and he is still sick. I noticed today he had fever blisters in his mouth....we tried to get him into the doctor today....but our Doctor is away until December 2,.....Great....so as I am typing this Brent has taken him to Emerge as I am working and can't leave the house.
Halloween was good for the other 2 this year....of course they always get WAYYY too much candy.
MacKenzie dressed up as Hannah Montanna and Evan was a Bat...Aiden was a Skunk again.
Brent and I went out to our Party as planned and my mom came and watched the kids. (Thanks Mom)...We had a great night....thank god those nights don't happen to often.....HAHA....stay tuned tomorrow for pics of our night.....Clean pictures only....I promise:)
Here are a few pics of the kids.
**update** Brent and Aiden got home around 9pm, and of course..he has the flu and there is nothing they can do.....It's lasting about a week they said and to keep him home from school. God I hate wasting time going to emerge...but if we didn't that would be when something was seriously wrong. Better safe than sorry I guess!

TGIF!!

It's Friday and we have a busy weekend ahead of
us....tonight Aiden's hockey team is playing in
between periods at the Guelph Storm Game. He's
so excited about it....he was a little unsure about
going to school today, thinking he was going to
miss the game....I had to tell him a few times not
to worry that the game wasn't until after school.
Tomorrow MacKenzie has a ringette game and
Sunday another Ringette game in Owen Sound
and I have a baby shower to attend.....which also
means we FINALLY get to meet Little
Brooke:) this weekend.
Here are a few Layouts of Pictures from
Thanksgiving Weekend.
Enjoy the Weekend:)
